The design concept for the new Instagram office in Sydney was inspired by the concept of “Sonder,” which embodies the idea that each random passerby is living a complex life with their own unique experiences and emotions. This concept was reflected in relaxed fundamental scheme in finishes allowing for the vibrant hues, lighting and gradients utilised to create a unique atmosphere throughout the office. These choices allow the design to successfully align with Instagram’s visual identity.
The office design includes a digital photo wall(sharing memories), a tranquil relaxation area(infrared light and flotation pods) for end-of-trip breaks, and tech pods ideal for collaborative work, creative works , and sharing stories.
The goal was to collaborate and design an office space that aligns with Instagram’s values, encourages creativity, and promotes teamwork.

Custom Photo Wall
Employees are able to go onto the Interface and upload any media (Photo, Video or Stories) to the digital media wall encapsulating their own experiences to share within the workplace.
Clients waiting in the lobby will also be able to participate by scanning the QR code displayed on the reception desk.
The Digital Media wall can be located right opposite the reception and adjacent to the waiting lobby.
